Biography

WEDDING BELLS. BLECHYNDEN—DOOHAN.
At the Methodist Church, Beverley, on Wednesday last, ^[1]
the Rev. A. Schroeder joined in wedlock Mr. Alfred Walter Blechynden (late of the A.I.F ) son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Blechynden, and Miss Mary Christina Doohan, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Doohan, both of Beverley. The Church was tastefully decorated: by friends of the bride. The bride was given away by her father, and the bridegroom was supported by Mr. W. Doohan, junr. (brother of the bride) as best man. The bridesmaids were Miss Nellie Doohan (sister of the bride) and Miss Hazel Jackson.
. . . . After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, where the toasts usual to the occasion were duly honored. The bride wore a dress of white silk with bead trimmings, a lace hat and carried a bouquet of fern and roses. The bridesmaids wore white muslin dresses with blue sashes, black picture hats trimmed with pale blue flowers and ribbon, and carried baskets of White chrysanthemums and fern. We join with their many friends in wishing the newly wedded couple many years of happiness and prosperity together.
