== Biography ==I am loving Wiki-Tree. That I can be assured that the genealogy on Wiki-Tree is true and correct is just marvelous. I am not new to my family genealogy. I have been working on my family genealogy since I was a very young child. My grandmother, E. Maurine Couch-3605 Kirkpatrick is the one who started me on this path. I was her eldest granddaughter and she singled me out to tell of family history and stories. Grandma K. showed me old family photos, telling stories as we went through the dilapidated pages of the ancient photo albums. I was allowed to play with old dolls (See: Matilda, under Emma Kirkpatrick-4611 Macklin). When I was about 26 years, I started to record my genealogy in earnest. My maternal grandparents were still alive…A.F.K. (Albert “Frank” Kirkpatrick-4593) and Grandma “K” (E. Maurine Couch-3605 Kirkpatrick). My grandfather A.F.K. handed me his handwritten details on his family lineage, kissed me on my cheek and said, “This belongs to you now.” So now I own his genealogy written in his own hand. Interestingly, I have not been able to go back any further on our immigrating Kirkpatrick ancestor, Moses Kirkpatrick-4614 (1680-1755) from what he gave me that day. The challenges of my genealogy thus continue until the parents of Moses Kirkpatrick are identified.
