Samuel was the son of John Elliott and Frances Blaine.
He arrived in America with his mother and three siblings in 1817 to settle in Ohio.
Samuel Elliott was an Associate Judge in Coshocton County. He moved to Defiance County where he purchased 455 acres of land, a portion of which was given to his children. [1]
He married in 1827 to Sarah Seward and had ten children. [2]
Judge Samuel Elliott died in 1859 aged 59. He is buried at Independence Cemetery, Independence, Defiance County, Ohio.
He had a Will. Probate was granted in Belfast, Ireland. [3]
