Felicite married her first cousin, Louis Simon, with a special dispensation from the Catholic Church on November 26, 1796. Louis was the widowed husband of Marianne Lambert and the son of Guillaume Simon and Marie Jeanne Roy of the German Coast. He and his brother Michel Simon had moved to the first Acadian Coast when their widowed grandmother Marguerite LeHoux Roy joined her brother Michel Cantrelle, the St. James Parish commandant at Cabahannocer.
