Mary Catherine Fulmer was born on May 21, 1855, in Durham, Bucks, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of David Bachman Fulmer and Sophia Long. She was baptized at Durham Reformed Church in Durham, Bucks, Pennsylvania, on January 10, 1862.[1]
In 1860 and 1870, Mary was living with her parents and siblings in Williams, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[2][3]
Mary married Washington Henry Taylor about 1879. They had four children - Estella, Nettie, Mabel, and Raymond.
In 1880, Mary lived with her newborn daughter and siblings at her parents' home in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania, and worked as a dressmaker (her husband was living with his parents).[4]
The next years were hard on the Taylor family. In April 1884, their oldest daughter Estella died, and in the space of one week in June 1891, each of their other three children was buried. It is not known what tragedy befell these children, who ranged from 3 to 9 years of age.[5]
In 1910, the couple lived in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania, where Washington worked as a laborer for a navigation line.[6]
Mary died in Springfield, Bucks, Pennsylvania, on January 14, 1919, at the age of 63.[7] She was buried at Riegelsville Union Cemetery in Riegelsville, Bucks, Pennsylvania.[8]
