Biography
Clara B. Fulmer was born on August 6, 1877, in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of David Bachman Fulmer and Sophia Long.
In 1880, Clara was living with her parents and siblings in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[1]In 1895 and 1900, she lived with her parents in Phillipsburg, Warren, New Jersey.[2][3]
At the age of about 26, Clara married Walter Lewis Steckel in 1903 in New Jersey, when he was around 35.[4] They had three known children - Gladys May, Kenneth William, and Howard (from the 1910 Census, it appears there was another child that died young).
In 1910, Clara and Walter lived with their children and her mother in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania, where Walter worked in a sand quarry.[5] In 1920, the couple lived with their children in Harmony, Warren, New Jersey, and Walter worked in a sand pit.[6]
Clara died in Phillipsburg, Warren, New Jersey, on July 11, 1928, at the age of 50.[7] She was buried at Hays Cemetery in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania.[8]
