KILLED BY A FALLING TREE.
COROWA, Monday. — Mr.William Gilson, herdsMan at Howlong town common, was accidentally killed by a falling tree at Howlong on Sunday afternoon. It appears that he, with a companion, was engaged in felling a tree for a bees hive, a sudden gust of wind caused the tree to snap suddenly, and before Gilson could get out of the way it had struck him to the ground, and smashing the body in a shocking manner. Deceased leaves a widow and a large family.
