Samuel Halstead was born in 1762 to his father Isaiah Halstead[1] and his mother Mariam Harding.
On June 1, 1778 in Wyoming, Luzerne, PA, USA he enlisted in the military and served in the American Revolution under Captain Blanchard's company. Blanchard was commander of Fort Pittson. [1] He was taken captive by natives at the Wyoming Massacre and held for two weeks.[1] Note: Jeremiah Blanchard - Blanchard-4569
He married his wife Hannah Harding at some point before 1783.
Samuel passed away in 1844.[1] [2]
