Tom Johnson is Notable.
Lieutenant Colonel Tom Johnson served in the United States Civil War. Enlisted: 1862 Mustered out: 1865 Side: CSA Regiment(s): Co. F and S, 2nd Battalion Kentucky Mounted Rifles.
Tom was a prominent Kentucky politician and soldier. He was a delegates from Kentucky to the Confederate Provisional Congress, 1861-62. After the war he served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 1876 to 1877 and in the Kentucky State Senate from 1878 to 1882.[1][3]

Only one Thomas Johnson in Montgomery County, in 1850 and 1860. Also in the Slave Schedule census.[10][11]
