Kathryn Gearhart's research does identify the Peter with a will proved in 1795 who married Dionysia in her "Early Virginia Jones Families," and appears to include a land trail to support her conclusion that he is a son of Peter who married his cousin Mary (Jones-24585 m Jones-56943). I think it's telling that she does not include a birth date for him.
Looking at the profile for Peter Jones-24585, there's text from a deed that has a lot of info (tying "Cadwalader Jones of Williamsburgh" to "his father, Peter Jones, [by will] dated 26 Oct 1734" - also in the quote is a reference to the 974 acres "patent to the said Peter Jones, the father, dated 2 Nov 1726" and more). That sort of info could map out the family.
Jones-79539 and Jones-38484 do not represent the same person because: Jones-38484 is one of three Peter Joneses baptized in Bristol Parish. The Peter Jones who died in 1795 is not known to be one of them.
update (17 April 2023) - Dionetia connection overrides the "not known" concern... I think that in 2021, I was looking at the Hampshire County, Virginia Peter, born 1739 in Wales.
Jones-79539 and Jones-38484 appear to represent the same person because: same wife - the son of Peter & Mary (Jones) Jones is said to have married Dionetia Ravenscroft - so these two profiles appear to represent the same person and should be merged. Thanks!
