Biography

Her name could also be spelled Keres\Geres

Notes from Michelle Kintner: Sara and Christian were members of Christ Church in Upper Mount Bethel Township. Northampton Co. Pa. Record refer to this church in many different ways Christ Church, Union Church, The Lutheran Reformed Church, The Old Stone Church. The first church was built in 1728 of logs at Mt. Bethel, Pa. The second church was built of wood 1774 at Centerville, Pa. The third built of stone in 1794 at Stone Church Pa. The present church was built of brick in 1832 at Stone Church, Pa.

Notes from Rob Howell: I have included in the "images" copies of what I have written as possible, or hypothetical suppositions of the ancestry of Sarah. I truly believe one of the three brothers (direct descendants of the first recorded ancestor, Lorentz Gerretsen through his son Martin and then Martin's son Hans Jakob' three boys) might be Sarah's father. Read the info carefully, noting the name change from Gerrets to Gehres (which would be pronounced sounding much like Keares ... the last name submitted by the American born children of Sarah for her gravestone.

Death
Her grave stone is carved in German and translated says"To the memory o f Sarah Eulenberger. she was born April 5 1742 and died April 1813, in her 71st year."[1]

Kerres-13 and Keares-1 appear to represent the same person because: married to the same man.
