The week before the census was taken, his wife Florence worked 40 hours as a typist clerk for accident investigators, their son Penn worked 44 hours as a manager of a retail poultry feed store, and their son Edward worked 40 hours as a stone mason's lifter [?] for a building contractor.

Penn died on 31 July 1963, at his home, at 1085 Elwood Avenue, Andalusia, Bensalem, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, of a coronary occlusion, due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
His occupation was traffic control
On 5 August, he was buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

'SALISBURY — Florence E. Salmon, 89, of here died Sunday, Sept. 22, 1996, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
'Born in Orwin, Pa., she was a resident of the Andalusia section of Bensalem, Pa., for 50 years, until recently moving to Salisbury. Her husband was the late S. Penn Salmon.
'She was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Tower City High School and Berkley's Business College. She was a past worthy matron of the Holmesburg Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, which will conduct a service for Salmon Friday at 8 p.m.
'She is survived by two sons, ..., and ..., with whom she lived; two brothers, Alvin Keiter and Irvin Keiter, two sisters, Edith Triplett and Elva Bolognese; s;even [sic] grandchildren; nine great-grand-children.
'A funeral service will be held at Church of the Redeemer on Bristol Pike in Bensalem Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Tomlinson Funeral Home on Bristol Pike in Bensalem.'
