In the 1870 census, George was sixteen and living at home, attending school and working on the farm. He married in 1881, to Eliza, Lizzie or Elizabeth C. Schrader. They were married by Virgil Stewart. There is only record of them having one daughter, born Nov. 1, 1883.
In the 1900, '10, and '20 census, he was a general farmer, in Noble, Ind. By the 1930 census, he was retired. He owned his farm free and clear by 1900. Their daughter, Leona, was still single and lived with them, at age 26, in the 1910 census. She married William Barber, in Dec. of 1910.
