OBITUARY
MR. DAVID KNIGHT
The death occurred in Lismore on Saturday morning of Mr. David Knight, aged 90 years, of 179 Casino Street, South Lismore. He had lived at South Lismore for the past 26 years. Born at Ulladulla, N.S.W., he came to the Richmond River in 1909 and settled with the family at Rock Valley. His father was among the pioneers of the Rock Valley district, and the family had previously resided for a few years at Eltham. Mr. Knight was a man of retiring nature, always a keen Methodist, a regular worshipper and church worker. His wife died in 1942. Four sons survive him. They are Messrs. Cecil Knight (Rock Valley), Reg Knight (Ettrick), Horace Knight (South Lismore), and Frank Knight (South Lismore). His funeral will leave the Lismore Methodist Church today after a service commencing at l p.m., for the Lismore cemetery.[1]
