Biography
Pauline was born in February 1879. She married Fred Gunther on 16 March 1898 in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Their children: Augusta, Albert, August, Minnie, Walter and Rose were born in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The family moved to Chicago and in the spring of 1907 they travelled by horses and wagons to Lanigan, Saskatchewan. They homesteaded seven and one half miles southwest of Lanigan in the Grovenland district.
In the next seventeen years more land was purchased and ten more children were born. They were: Alma, Otto, Esther, Anne, Agnes, Elsie, Emil, Helen, Arthur and John. Pauline passed away in June 1924 and was buried in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Lanigan.
