When Jonathan Lilly ^[1] was born on April 20, 1739, in Coventry, Connecticut, his father, Samuel, was 44 and his mother, Mehitable Bacon, was 32. He married Sarah Foster on April 23, 1761, in Windham, Connecticut.^[2] They had at least 8 children in 23 years.

Served as Sargent in Captain Benjamin Phillips' Company, Col. Elisha Porter's regiment of Hampshire County militia Massachusetts

Served in French and Indian War.

He died on January 10, 1828, in Ashfield, Massachusetts, having lived a long life of 88 years. Children with dates subject to change:
