Biography

Edward Longueville was born after 1634, the younger son of Edward Longueville and Margaret Temple. He had passed away before 1718, when his son Thomas Longueville succeeded as fourth baronet.^[1]

Research Notes

Secondary sources state that he married Mary Silvester or Sylvester of Iver, Buckinghamshire; primary sources seem to be lacking. The following perhaps relate to them:

“Edward son of Edwd Longvill Gent & Mary his wife” was baptised at Hillingdon, Middlesex, 27 October 1685.^[2] “Thomas John the son of Mr Edward and Mrs Mary Longville” was baptised at West Drayton, Middlesex 9 August 1687.^[3]

An Edward Longvile was buried at Chelsea Hospital 27 November 1717.^[4]
