Biography

David was born May 6, 1856 or April 25, 1856 in DeKalb County, Tennessee. He was the son of David Luna and Lucinda Lewis.

On February 27, 1883 he married C. A. (Cora Ann) Adcock in DeKalb County, Tennessee. ^[1]

He passed away May 6, 1919 in Smithville, DeKalb County, Tennessee. ^[2] David was laid to rest in Bain Cemetery, DeKalb County, Tennessee, United States. ^[3]

Research Notes

Dates of birth and death on his headstone differ from what is on his death certificate. His headstone has he was born April 25, 1856 and death May 15, 1919. David's date of birth on his death certificate is listed as May 6, 1856 and death May 6, 1919 with burial on May 8, 1919. We know the death date is correct as listed on death certificate but I am not sure which date of birth is correct so I am using the dates found on the death certificate for now. The 1900 census lists his birth as April 1857 which means the headstone date of birth may be correct. Middle name may be Jones.
