Biography

I am Randi March. My age at this time is 43 years alive. I was born and raised in Midland,MI. Bullock Creek is the school district I attended from start to finish, graduating in 1991. After school I was married and we relocated to Gladstone Missouri.

My oldest boy, Casey Lee, now age 22, was our reason to upgrade to a house and out of an apartment. After moving into a house in Smithville, Missouri our son Brendon, age 19 now, was born. We had our family and was living what some would call the 'American Dream'. The boy's dad had many skills from HVAC to building a house from top to bottom. I was a waitress and promoted myself to bartender status when I was 21. After 3 years in an apartment we moved to the house in Smithville, Missouri.

The boys played sports as soon as they were old enough, that was around 4 years old for them both. Our days were filled with working and kids. They played soccer, T-ball and progressed nicely in everything we had them do in sports. Brendon did gymnastics until he broke his arm. They also played a year of football.

I ran a daycare out of my home and waited tables until the boys were in school. Waiting tables and bartending was always cash in hand jobs that I really appreciated and with the kids I babysat ends were met with the help of their dad's income too.

I never was good at holding just one job anywhere, I had many hats I wore proudly. In 1998 my EMT certification was attained and I switched from Food and Beverage work to working in the Medical field. Starting out as an EMT I finish with getting my Associate Degree in Applied Sciences, focus on Medical Assisting, was accomplished by 2004. Phlebotomy was the skill that I choose fine tune and I learned a lot about people and medicine. As I could never just do one thing I started entertaining home businesses, direct marketing. Several companies including Tahitian Noni and Younique Cosmestics, are just a couple businesses I did direct marketing for. It is not as easy as one might think.

In 2008 their father had a career change and we moved to Rome, NY. After living there for a year they decided to close down the facility their dad was working at and my boys and I moved back to Smithville, Missouri in 2009, their father moved to Denver, Colorado. We got a divorce in 2010. The American Dream fizzled out for our family unit. In April 2010, we moved to Michigan, it was me and my boys trying to do what we could to muddle thru to their 18th birthdays. Their father paid good child support and it allowed me to be available for my boys for whatever, whenever. I did work on and off at jobs that were flexible or I worked for myself. All I wanted to do was be a stay at home mom. I never did have that one desire fulfilled.

In 2013 I moved back to Kansas City. My friend Tina let me stay with her til I got on my feet. Just before the move I had found out Brendon and his dad were relocating back to Kansas City. It didn't take me long to get a nice three bedroom apartment in Gladstone, ironic that we restarted in the same apartments that we lived in when Casey was born. Within a years time Casey did graduate and moved with his dad south to Arizona where he lives today with his girlfriend.

Brendon decided he wanted to go back to Michigan. So, as usual, whatever to make him happy we moved to Michigan in May 1014. Things didn't go as Brendon expected this time while lived in Michigan. In 2015, guess what? We moved back to Kansas City area again. Brendon was staying with friends here and there and I was pretty much doing the same. Couch surfing they call it I believe.

We ended up buying a lake lot at Lake Arrowhead in Holt, Missouri. We started out with what I brought in my car, a hammock, and a tent. We did upgrade to a camper within a months time. With no utilities, roughing it was the lifestyle I thought I would ever encounter. After the purchase of the lot next to the first one lot we aqquired we had electricity, but no water yet to this day. Brendon moved in with a friend in July and has been on his own since. He is happily living in Leavenworth, Kansas with his life partner Justin.

In November 2015, I finally came out of the woods after 5 months of roughing it. I learned a lot about myself during that stay in nature. I stayed with a friend in Platte City, Missouri. Within a months time I had rented a tiny studio apartment right on Main St. My first place to live, by myself ever. I was back to serving tables at the local cafe. Cash is king what can I say. After a few months I upgraded to a one bedroom duplex, which is where I now reside in Platte City, Mo.

Work? Job? I have been recouping from the last 5 years of craziness mixed with some insanity. I have a new boyfriend, and God Bless him, it hasn't been easy for him to deal with this March girl. Stubborn, Smart, Sassy, Strong, Outspoken, and at times very selfish I am realizing just how complicated I can be. It is hard for me to be calm all the time. Emotional, Intuitive, Chaotic, really Silly, and poetic at times, I am finding every one of my family members have left a piece of them with me, inside and out. This is just one reason I decided to dig into family history a tad. I want to know why I am who and I am, and how I got here thru the steps of my descendants. To know my roots and the who, when, and why's that brought my ancestors here is to know who I am and why I am the way I am. Enlightening and enriching may the mysteries by solved. One generation at a time, one person at a time.

Hi Randi,

Welcome to the WikiTree family! The initial email from us has useful links that will get you started.

WikiTree is different because we have One Big Tree. Our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a single collaborative team. Our Honor Code is the key.

When you confirm your email address, you'll have an option to volunteer to add information to WikiTree, beginning with tags for your own profile. Tags are surnames, locations, concepts, etc. that you'd like to track.

If you decide to volunteer, a greeter will confirm your membership. After signing the Honor Code, you'll be able to add new profiles to the tree.

Carole

P.S. I'm always happy to answer questions.
