Biography

Florence (Middleton) Crockett was born in Virginia.

Florence "Florrie" Middleton was born on May 25, 1895, in Rockbridge, Virginia, United States, the daughter of John Middleton and Jennie (Figgatt) Middleton.

She graduated from Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia, then went to teach in Tazewell, Virginia, where she met and married Robert Crockett in 1919. Robert O. Crockett Sr, was an attorney and represented his district in the Virginia State Senate from 1920 to 1922. They had two children, Sara Florence and Robert O. Jr.^[1]

Florence died on January 21, 1986, in Tazewell, Virginia, at the age of 90, and was buried in Jeffersonville Cemetery in Tazewell.^[2]^[3]
