He was also a Council Schools manager, chairman of the Beeston and Stapleford Library Committee and for 23 years president of the Stapleford and Sandiacre Co-operative Society.[12]
Death
Thomas Northwood died 12 June 1947 at Stapleford, Nottinghamshire, Englandand was buried 16 June 1947 at Stapleford Cemetery.[13]
He was 86 years of age.[14]
Grant of Probate was made 1 August 1947 to William Fowkes and Sidney Peadon.[11]
