Biography

David M. Parris was born 10 Nov 1778 to Samuel Parris and Rachel (Dickerson) Parris in Guilford County, North Carolina. David married Mary Morrow by 1800 and for about the next thirty years they lived in Spartanburg County, South Carolina. By 1830 they were in Haywood County, North Carolina.

David passed away on 15 Oct 1848 in Haywood County, North Carolina (which would become Jackson County in 1851) and was buried in Keener Cemetery, Sylva, Jackson County, North Carolina Abt. 15 Oct 1948.

David and Mary have added six additional children; three sons and three daughters under age 10. If I counted correctly, that makes twelve in twenty years.
Census: 1830 Federal
Date: 1 Jun 1830
Place: Haywood County, North Carolina[4]
David and Mary have added two more children; a son and daughter age 5-9. They moved to North Carolina about 1825. All of their children appear to have been born in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
David has not been located on the 1840 census; wife Mary is found on the 1850 census with daughter, Talitha, in Haywood County. Note: Jackson County, North Carolina was formed from parts of Haywood and Macon Counties in 1851.
