Biography

Lillias was born in 1733. She is the youngest of three daughters of Gabriel Porterfield and Elizabeth Cunningham. ^[1][2][3]

Joanna's brother Alexander was the last male heir of Hapland. Upon his death in 1768, his estate was divided between his three sisters.^[3]

Family

She married William Somerville of Kennox. ^[2][4] The had one daughter, Janet Somerville.^[3]
