Biography

David was born about 1755. He passed away in 1835 in Madison County, Georgia. [1][2]

He married Sarah Nunn. They had the following children:

  1. Christopher, born about 1780[2][1]
  2. Thomas James, born about 1782[2][1]
  3. unknown daughter, born about 1785[2][1]
  4. David, Jr., born about 1790[2][1]
  5. Rebecca, born about 1795[2][1]
  6. Elizabeth, born about 1801, possibly died at young age as there is a later Elizabeth[2]
  7. Mary, born about 1803, married Darrell Brazzelle[2]
  8. Elizabeth, born about 1806. married Anderson Dudley[2]

Revolutionary War service

David served as a private in Captain Thomas Flack's Company of the Guilford County, North Carolina Militia, which was commanded by Colonel James Martin. David participated in the Cross Creek expedition, which resulted in the Battle of Moore's Creek Bridge on 27 February 1776.[3]
