Biography

Joseph Pratt was born in Saybrook, Connecticut on 1 Aug 1648, the son of William and Elizabeth (Clark)[1].

In 1671 Joseph married Margaret Parker[2] dau of William Parker (1614 England – 28 Dec 1686 Saybrook, CT) and Margaret "Margery" Pritchard (1620 – 12 Jun 1680 Saybrook, CT)

Children:

  1. William 1674–1757 married Hannah Hough on 8 Oct 1700
  2. Sarah 1676–1741 married Thomas Sluman
  3. Margaret (1680–1726) married Philip Shattuck

In Sep 1686 he married (2) Sarah Chapman[3] (1657 - 1730) dau of Robert Chapman and Ann Bliss.

  2. Susannah 18 Mar 1690–

McCullough-222 Brian McCullough
Though one profile, since merged into this one, called him William Joseph Pratt, I have not carried it over in the merge. Every source I have seen calls him Joseph, and middle names were virtually nonexistent in this place at this time.
