1785 WILL: VA, STAFFORD COUNTY: VIRGINIA COUNTY COURT RECORDS, DEED & WILL ABSTRACTS OF STAFFORD COUNTY, VA, 1780-1786: PAGE: 63: pg. 278 "In Name of God I Edward Ralls, Senr. of County of Stafford, Parish of Overwharton in Colony of Virginia being sick but of sound mind do make this to be my last will and Testament...first soul to Good...Executors to pay my funeral expences and all just Debts... Item I, give to my son Caleb Ralls one shilling Sterling & shall be sorry he obliges me to cut him off as my heir at Law & therefore I proclaim him void and absolutely deny to him any inheritance of mine as my Son and Hier at Law, and the legacy given him already if he disturbs my executors in any thing relating to my Estate In that case or any one claiming under him, or any other of my children excepting Hiber, John & their Mother, after my Just Debts are paid My desire is -- what Estate is left I desire to be Divided amoung the three nominated Hebe & John Ralls & their Mother Mary Rall excluding all others that may claim against my Will. I give to my son Kenez Ralls a Black horse call'd Smip. My Saddle & bridle and no more. I nominate and appoint my trusty friends James Watts, Collo. William Phillips & William Harding to be the Last Will and Testament...this 22nd April 1785. Edward Ralls"

"Presence Mary (X) Green Hebron Ralls, Athaliah Ralls. Stafford County Sct August Court 1785 This will presented into Court by James Watts...give bond with Ralh. Ralls SEcurity in sum of five hundred pounds..being leggally proved ordered to be recorded."

Exr. By: Charles Ralls, John Mason, Wm. Harding, Appraisers. At Court held for Stafford held for Stafford County 13th March 1786 This inventory was ordered to be recorded, & is so."
