Biography
Reuben Jack Raney was born in Iowa on November 06, 1860, the son of Ruben Raney and Charlotte Sarah Wise. Because he was born on the day of Lincoln's Presidential election, Reuben Jack was known throughout his life as "Link" Raney[1]. In 1885 he married Etta Jane Hiatt[2] and together they had 1 child, Clemma Raney. "Link" died on December 04, 1926 in Centerville, Iowa, and is buried in Oakland Cemetery in Centerville[3].
