Lewis was born in 1918. He is the son of Christopher Rehmann and Ida Scull.
Lewis' sister, Ida Rehmann Wobensmith [Rehmann-2], my grandmother told me about Lewis' name: He was born a twin to brother William. He was named after the first child, Lewis, who died as a baby. This Lewis also died young although he lived to marry and have a child. After his death, no one in the family would name their child Lewis. And, indeed, there were 13 siblings in this family and I cannot find another Lewis among their descendants. Beverly Tamanini, Saturday, April 18, 2015.
Lewis' tombstone is in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Millville, NJ. I visited his grave in July of 2014. He was buried next to his parents and sister, Mary Rehmann Helbling. His tombstone gives his year of birth but no death date and also spells his name with one N (Rehman). There was no wife's stone visible.
