Eleazer Ring was born in Plymouth, Plymouth Colony, the son of Andrew and Deborah (Hopkins) Ring.[1] The date of his birth is not recorded, but can be estimated to be around 1657, perhaps between siblings born about 1653 and 1658.
He married Mary Shaw on 11 January 1687/8 in Plymouth.[2][1][3]
She was the daughter of Jonathan and Phebe (Watson) Shaw born about 1665. She died in Kingston on 28 November 1730 in her 65th year, and was buried in the Old Burying Ground of the First Church of Kingston.[1]
He died on 21 November 1749 in Kingston.[1][3] It is said that he may be buried at Burial Hill in Plymouth, Plymouth Co., but a gravestone is not extant, nor has one ever been recorded and published.[4]
The will of Eleazer Ring of Kingston, yeoman, was written 05 Jun 1738 and proved 01 June 1749 [sic; apparent error for 01 Jan 1749/50] named sons Samuel, Andrew, Elkanah, and Jonathan (as executor), daughters Phebe Standish, Deborah Fuller, Mary Samson, Elizabeth Chaggon and Lediah Sturdefant, and granddaughter Deborah Bostworth the daughter of Susuanna.[5][6]
His inventory was taken on 8 January 1749/50 in Kingston.[7]
