David Cornelius Rodwell was born on 11 August 1848 in the District of Clarence Plains, Tasmania Australia. He was unnamed at the time of his Birth Registration, but there is a record of his baptism on 7th April 1850 in Tasmania in the parish of St Davids, County of Buckingham, Tasmania.
