Hans Scholl was executed by the Nazi regime for protests against the government and its fascist activities
  • Brother of Sophie Scholl
  • 1933 Joined The Hitler Youth
  • Became critical of the government during his military service[1]
  • 1937 Arrested, jailed for "Suspicious Activities"[1]
  • 1941 Among the founders of The White Rose, which promoted passive resistance to the Nazi Regime[2]
    • Printed and distributed leaflets criticizing Hitler and calling for a rise against the fascist government
    • the Last leaflet produced was smuggled out of Germany and later distributed, under a different title, by Allied planes all over Germany[3]
  • c18 Feb 1943 Arrested by the Gestapo for their activities[4]
  • 20 Feb 1943 Sentenced to Death by Judge Roland Freisler[5]
  • 21 Feb 1943 Executed[5] along with his sister, Sophie, and their friend Christoph Probst
  • Buried in Friedhof am Perlacher Forst[6]

Along with his sister (which one?), his brother, Werner Scholl (1922–1944), is also listed as missing in action and presumed dead in June 1944.
