Per William R. Selden, 1973: Thomas is thought to have come with cousin, Thomas Hosmer on the Lion in 1633, to Roxbury, MA
In section on Seldens of LeRoy, NY, he says Thos. S went to CT with Thomas Hooker and Thomas Lord in 1636.

Thomas Selden was living in Hartford, Connecticut, in 1639, as in that year he was named in a "list of Original Proprietors, Holders by Courtesie, and Settlers in Hartford [Connecticut], copied from a Town Record made in 1639". [1]

Thomas' will proved at Hartford on 19 December 1655. [2]

"Thomas Selden of Hartford upon the river of Connecticutt being ill & weak in body", made his will on 14 August 1655, in which he:
  • left bequests to his wife, Hester; his eldest son, Thomas Selden; and this other children, Mary, Joseph, Hanna and Sara Selden; the sons to be paid when they reached the age of 20 years, and the daughters when they reached 18.
  • named his loving wife Hester sole executrix; and
  • entreated his brother, Mr John Wakman, and his cousin, Thomas Osmer, to be overseers to his will;
