Biography

Zachariah Soule, son of Benjamin & [[Standish-108|Sarah (Standish) Soule, was born 21 March 1694, in the part of Plymouth, Massachusetts, which would become the town of Plympton.[1][2]

He married 9 June 1720 Mary Eaton in Plympton.[1][3] Mary was born about 1699, probably in Plymouth, daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Coombs) Eaton, a descendant of Mayflower passengers Francis Eaton and Degory Priest. Benjamin Easton's 1745 will names his daughter Mary Soule.[1]

Zachariah died, also in Plympton, 3 May 1751.[1][3] His will mentions wife Mary, sons: Jabez, Zachry, Ephraim, James; daughters: Sarah Tinkham, Mary, Hannah, Eunice and Loes Soule; also brother-in-law Moses Standish.[1][4]

5 July 1773 Ephraim "Soul" of Plimpton was appointed to administer the estate of Mary Soul late of Plympton, widow deceased. An inventory was take 12 July 1773.[1][5][6]

  3. Mary Soule was born 2 April 1725; died at Plympton after 6 June 1761 (the division of Brother James' estate); and probably she died at Pomfret, Vermont 10 Mar 1787 ae 62. Unmarried.
  4. Sarah Soule was born 15 June 1727
  5. Ephraim Soule was born 4 May 1729[9]
  6. Hannah Soule was born 30 Dec 1732
  7. Yoness [Eunice] Soule was born 1 Feb 1735/6[10]
  8. James Soule was born b. 19 Jan 1738/9. 7 Mar 1759 Zachariah Soule was appointed administor of James' estate, which was divided 6 Jun 1761 between Ephraim, Mary, Hannah, Eunice, Sarah and Lois Soule and the heirs of Jabez Soule and Zachariah Soule.
  9. Lowes [Lois] Soule was born 17 Dec 1742
