Florine was the eldest child of David Thompson's second marriage to Carrie Emma Kelly.

Florine was 8 years old in 1880.^[1]

Florine was age 28 and living with her widowed mother Cassie Thompson in Anderson Township, Madison, Indiana in 1900. Florine was b March 1872 in Tennessee. She was a dress maker. Her mother Cassie was b Feb 1847 in Missouri. Her brother Ruben was age 25, b Tennessee. Her sister Olive was age 22, b. Tennessee. Her brother Robert was age 17, b. Tennessee. Her sister Nellie was age 13, b. Tennessee.^[2]

Florine was living in Brooklyn Judicial Township in Alameda County, California in 1940. She was age 68 and single. b Tennessee. She was lodging with Carol R. Thompson, widowed, age 64, b. Tennessee, who on 1 Jan 1935 had resided in Anderson, Madison, Indiana.^[3]

The death record lists her parents' surnames as Thompson and Kelly.^[4]
