Margaret Thyne was born about 1785, daughter of William Thyne (~1740– ) and Elizabeth Brown (1740– ).
Margaret married Thomas Fairlie (born in 1785 in Balfron, Stirlingshire, Scotland).[1] Their known children were:
Margaret died on March 6, 1836 in Anderston, Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, aged about 50 and was buried at Cheapside Street, Anderston [2].. The inscription on her grave reportedly said:
"The ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion.
with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads and they
shall obtain joy and gladness and sorrow and sighing shall flee away" [3].
