She and John married in Middleborough 8 December 1701.[1][2] John, son of John and Rebecca (Simmons) Soule, was born in Duxbury about 1675,[1] and died at Middleborough 1 May 1743 in his 69th year. His will was dated 1 March 1743 and proved 6 June 1743. He named his wife Martha and children John and James Soule, Martha Thomson, Sarah Snow, Ester Soule, Mary Samson, Rebecca and Rachel Soul.[1][3]
Martha Soul and her sister Mary Tinkham, were left by their father's will all of his remaining movable estate, after their mother's decease. Ephraim died in 1714.[4]
Martha died at Middleborough 16 Feb 1748 in her 80th year.[1] The will of Martha Soule Senr of Middleborough dated 19 Nov. 1751, and proved 2 May 1758 made bequests: to her son John Soul's heirs five shillings lawfull money; to her son James Soule ten shilings; the heirs of daughter Sarah Snow five shillings; to daughters Easter Soul and Rebeccah Soul, one third of moveable estate; and the rest to daughters Martha Thompson, Ester Soul, Mary Samson, Rebecca Soul, and Rachel Vaughan, to be divided equally among them. [1][5]
