He married Emma Minna Lina Gerda Sievers on July 19, 1941 in Bremen, Germany. The couple had three children (all living).
On October 30, 1952 the family boarded the MS Nelly in the port of Bremen and emigrated to Australia. [1] The MS Nelly arrived in Melbourne, Australia on December 5, 1952.
Friedrich died in 1977 [2]
