Professor Patrick Urquhart, MD, "a man of Learning and parts" was born in 1641 at Medrum, Fintray, Scotland; in 1672 he was appointed to the Chair of Medicine, King's College, by Patrick, Bishop of Aberdeen; after 54 years as Physician in the King's College, Old Aberdeen, he died in 1725.[3]
