Disconnected child

'Henry", speculative child with (possible) mistress 'Dau DE LA RIEUX', has been disconnected. There is no conclusive documentation and the dates do not make such a parentage possible (Henry being only 6 years younger than François; his mother would also have been too old to be a "young lady at court" after Francis became King).

  4. Francois was a huge fan of da Vinci, and convinced the great Renaissance master to live out the end of his life in France.
  5. Sister of Anne Boleyn, queen consort of Henry VIII. Both of the Boleyn sisters were at the French court. While Francois never made any bones about his "English mare," the rumors that he also took Anne for his mistress remain ... rumors.

May I suggest that this profile, beautifully done in many respects, has the appearance in places of an uncleaned merge. Links and footnotes should be after the biography. Duplicate <references /> tags, because of the separate footnotes, is causing a #866 database error. I left it intact for your attention.

Removed "Dau de la Rieux" as wife of François - he was only married twice, to Claude de France and Eleanor of Austria. There was a Damoiselle de Rieux at his court who may have been an occasional mistress, but even that is not certain.
