Biography

Doris was born 28 Oct 1929 in Buffalo, Wright, Minnesota. She was the daughter of Elmer Wannebo and Elva Hayes. ^[1]

In April 1930 she was living in Marysville, Wright, Minnesota.^[2] The household included Elmer Wannebo age 27, wife Elva Wannebo age 23, daughter Shirly Wannebo age 3 and daughter Doris Wannebo age 4 months, all born in Minnesota. Elmer was a laborer laying culvert.

In April 1940 she was living in Marysville Township, Wright, Minnesota.^[3] The household included Elmer Wannebo age 37, wife Elva Wannebo age 33, daughter Shirley M Wannebo age 13, daughter Doris A Wannebo age 10, son James Wannebo age 7, son Richard A Wannebo age 4, son Arnold L Wannebo age 2 and daughter Emma L Wannebo age 6 months, all born in Minnesota. Elmer was superintendent of a WPA program for road and bridge construction. George J Hayes lived next door.

Doris Aileen Wannabo and Milton Frank Ernst were married 4 Nov 1947.

One of her passions was genealogy and she worked tirelessly on her family tree. Her family genealogy was not published, but might be available at the Wright County, Minnesota, Historical Society.^[4]

She died 25 Apr 2008 in Buffalo, Wright, Minnesota.^[5][6][7]

She is buried in Swedish Mission Cemetery, Wright County, Minnesota.^[8]
