Biography

Birth

Richard Warren was born on 26 November 1840 to father Richard Warren, miner, and mother Ann Warren, formerly Oats, at Boscaswell, St Just, Cornwall.[1]. He was baptised on 18 December 1840 in the Parish of St Just.[2]

Marriage

Richard Warren married Charlotte James (21) on 1 March 1862 in Pendeen. At the time, he was a 21-year old miner like his father Richard Warren, her father was an innkeeper Noah James, and they were both living in Trewellard. His marriage was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1862 in the Penzance district.[3][4][5]

Death

Richard Warren was a tin miner when his son John Warren was born on 15 October 1866, living at Trewellard, but he died just afterward before 19 November 1866 when he was buried at age 26 in Pendeen. His GRO death civil registration was recorded for Penzance in the October-December quarter (Q4).[6][7]

Research Notes

Birth: Apparently, his parents, Richard Warren and Ann Oats, were married on 13 Sep 1840 in Pendeen just a month before his birth.[11]
