Thomas Wisner ... [1]
"Thomas Wisner, son of Adam, was a lieutenant in the Wawayanda Company of the Fourth Regiment, Orange County Militia, during the Revolutionary War, under Col. John Hathorn. He was married, according to family tradition to a Miss Winters, of Orange County, New York. Thomas and his sons once lived in Pennsylvania near the New York line....................... "Thomas Weisner, occupied a cabin on the river bank, near where the bridge at Uniontown now crosses the river Susquehanna, about half a mile north of Rachel Weeks'. Thomas, who had a wife and six or seven children, afterwards moved away to parts unknown." (Annals of Buffalo Valley. Page 245)
"Thus we see that Thomas Wisner and family after the Revolutionary War, left Orange county and moved west into Northern Pennsylvania and was there in 1790, while his son, Samuel Wisner with wife and child was still living in Warwick, Orange county, at that date." [2]
Thomas married Jemima Jayne (1730-1810) in Orange, New York.
