Archie Wisner Called By Death

Coming as a great shock to the many friends and relatives of his large family circle through out this section was the sudden death on Sunday morning, May 5th, of Archie Wisner, which came as a result of a heart attack. Funeral services were conducted late Sunday afternoon at five o'clock at the Mars Hill Cemetery with Rev. James Crumpton of the West Side Baptist Church officiating. Mr. Wisner was a member of the Baptist church. Sorrowing friends and relatives paid final tribute to him at the graveside, and the many beautiful floral offerings bespoke of the high esteem in which he was held. Mr. Wisner was born Feb. 29, 1884, in Wilkinson county. He was married to Miss Rebecca Leake on Aug. 5, 1905, and to this union was born seven children, six of whom survive. Surviving are his wife, three sons, Leonard, Oscar and Earl Wisner, three daughters, Mrs. Charlie Felter, Mrs. Odelle Ferguson and Miss Ruby Lee Wisner and five grandchildren, all of Natchez, a brother, Carlton Wisner, of Woodville, a sister, Mrs. Letha Smith of St. Joseph, La., and a number of nieces and nephews.
