Biography

Christina Wysor was born 1 Mar 1761 and baptized 1 Jun 1761 in Upper Saucon, Northampton (later Lehigh), Pennsylvania. This baptism is recorded in the records of St Paul's Lutheran & Reformed Church, aka the Blue Church. It names Christina as the daughter of Adam Wysor and Elizabeth Beck, with sponsors, Balthasar and Christina Meier (see media).[1][2]

At some point before the Revolutionary War, the Adam Wysor family left Pennsylvania and move into the region of Winchester, Frederick, Virginia.

Marriage:
Christina Wysor married Jacob Anderson 24 Mar 1779 in Frederick County, Virginia, at the home of her parents near Winchester.[3]

Will:
Christina survived her husband and wrote her will 10 Apr 1846. It was proved 10 Sep 1846 in Pulaski County, Virginia. She names her children: Jacob, John, William, Elizabeth WOOLWINE, Peggy GRAY, Eve SONGER, Polly S BARGER. It also mentions the children of her deceased son George, and the children of her deceased daughters, Susan HUGHES and Nancy SHEPHERD (see media).[1][3] Daughter Malinda is not named, nor are any children by her mentioned. She is presumed to have died unmarried between 1833-1846 when her parents’ wills were written.

Christina Wysor Anderson died 28 Jul 1846 in Pulaski County, Virginia.[3]

Notes

Mark Steinke's excellent research which he shared in 1998, traced the connections of Jacob Anderson’s family in Pulaski, VA and related families to previous generations in PA. His diligent work unlocked the lineage of Jacob Anderson’s ancestors.[13]
