this is from the Pension file on Samuel Gill; the copy of the marriage bond was made in 1844 (see bottom half), when the heirs and heirs-in-law of Ruth Gill, widow of Samuel Gill, were petitioning for Samuel's pension. The correspondence in the file is a bit contentious, and the date of marriage apparently an issue, so take this with a grain of salt.
