July the 26, 1864

Dear Brother and Sister. I this morning imbrace the opportunity of droping of you a few lines to let you know how I do. We are all well and doing well and I hope these few lines too may find you all enjoying the same. Well John left home the seventeenth in May. I got a letter from him the 25 of June and I his knows that the yanks was got in know and Tom is still at home yet and he is sick and Julia has been sick for the last 8 weeks tho she is a little beter at present. Well Bud and Jim has got a very good crop and we have made very good crop of wheat and crop ______ very good in June also. Well I forgot to tell you that sister Mary was sick and George is gone to the army. Well Doley sis has got first all of that she has and she wants you to hurry and rise the balance. And Bud ses tell boys? that he has got a fine horse and a good crop. Fan sends her respects to Susan and the children. Hulda sends her respects to you and the children and ses God Bless you and your children in this world and together to if she never see you in this world she hopes she will see you in the other and Sis Kirk ses tell ses tell Doley and Marthey that she
