Norfolk County in southwestern Ontario is one of the original nineteen counties established in 1792. I In 1974 the county was dissolved and along with Haldimand County became the regional municipality of Haldimand-Norfolk. In 2001 the municipality was dissolved and the former counties re-instated as separate municipalities of Haldimand County and Norfolk County.
