We just completed the Clan Murray Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Denver, Colorado this past weekend. It was the first Colorado Scottish Festival in three years, and people were excited about getting out and seeing what it was about. We had over two dozen visitors from other states, as well, hanging around our tent.
We have a full season of monthly festivals in Colorado, beginning in April with Tartan Day and ending in September with ScotFest in beautiful Estes Park. We have a few smaller festivals thrown in, but this weekend was the "Denver Metro" festival.
As U.S. Genealogist for Clan Murray, I always have a fist-full of business cards to hand out as I talk to people. I talked to more folks this weekend and referred them on to Wikitree than ever this year. I think some may even be excited enough to join. I will follow up with everyone who filled out our sign-up sheet and urge them again to "take Wikitree for a test drive."
I'm convinced if we can get them to try it, they'll like it. It's an easy sell once they decide they can really be successful in their research.
