As it stands, I'm not sure what the point of this statement is, especilly being from an anonymous contributor. My maidin name was Susan Louise Revels nickname "Susie" I was born in Florida and was told my ancestors owned a plantation.  I find this very interesting since I believe that many exslaves carried the last name of the plantation owners. I am not a prejudiced individual and I may be related.  Would be proud to find out that I am.  I was born in 1952.  My fathers name is Ormond Leslie Revels.

online,14 pages,I have looked at it ,but can only read 1st page.

Was looking for his wife Janet Rhoads.Her maiden name interesting as

male sons often show mothers maiden name. Hiram Rhodes Revels.

See if you might find marriage James Revels too Janet Rhodes.Hiram may

have moved too Baltimore,Maryland after his brothers death.
