Thomas Cochrane from Isle of Man

My relative Thomas Cochrane was born c.1844, and was son of Alexander Cochrane and Catherine Caull. He appears in the 1851 and 1861 censuses, but in no later censuses. His birth record has not been found. His parents were from the Ireland (most likely the northern part)

My questions are:

1. Can anyone find a birth record for Thomas Cochrane?

2. Can anyone find him in subsquent censuses, or else account for him?
